Maybelline’s Pure Mineral B. B. Mousse

by Roxanne C.

This a mini review of Maybelline’s new product, the Pure Mineral B. B. Mousse. I don’t really do foundation reviews because of the condition of my skin and I really rather not risk having a serious breakout from anything. However, I’d just like to feature this product on my blog as part of a Maybelline Series of posts, which will end up with the final blog entry being a giveaway.

Maybelline's Pure Mineral B.B. Mousse.

The bubbly mousse.

The mousse was developed in Japan and contains micro minerals and B. B. ingredients. It’s supposed to be an 8-in-1 skincare solution, where the eight benefits are:

1) In depth hydration

2) Brightening of skin tone

3) Leaving skin suppler

4) Smoothing out of pores

5) Lifting of dullness

6) Redness reduction

7) Skin texture redefinition

8) Protection against UV rays with SPF 30 / PA +++

I tested the mousse out on my arm. Almost immediately after I pumped the product out, it started bubbling (something like the O2 oxygen mask) and the texture turned into something like what egg whites would if you beat them for long and fast enough to make meringues. The mousse went on easily and evenly as well. As alcohol is one of the ingredients in the list and I am allergic to it, I did not test it on my face. Therefore, I am not able to tell if the product causes any breakouts or if its B. B. benefits work. The mousse will be available at Watsons, Guardian, SASA, major supermarkets, hypermarkets and selected departmental stores from November 2011 and will retail for SGD$23.90.
