Swatch: NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Knight

by Roxanne C.

This Jumbo Eye Pencil by NYX has been in my wishlist for some months now and I finally chanced upon it at a bazaar near my place one afternoon. I fell in love with it the instant I came across swatches of it online and after hearing rave reviews of the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in general. I’m not sure if I’ll do a full review of it but according to what I tried on at the bazaar, this pencil glides on very smoothly and is highly pigmented. The tiny glitter specks are so pretty and add a touch of glamour to a smoky eye look.

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Knight. Look at the gold flakes!

A dark, sparkly heart for you.

You can layer eyeshadow on top of this liner but doing this will mattify the sparkly effect and make it dull. The eyeliner will keep your shadow on for longer, that’s for sure but whether you’ll want to sacrifice the reflective glitter for a matte look when you can simply use a primer and a matte eyeshadow to achieve the same thing is your call. I know I wouldn’t!

Oh thanks for this review Roxanne! So is it advisable to use the jumbo eye pencil on its own? I heard it smudges easily though. I bought the jumbo eyeliner in milk and the NYX slide-on pencils in the end!

Nice! I love makeup shopping. I'm not sure if you could wear it alone because I've not done it yet. You could try and let me know!
