FOTD: Deep Green Smokey Eyes

by Roxanne C.

Green has been a colour that’s always captivated me somehow, especially dark, royal green. I’ve always envisioned myself one day being deep in the Amazon and all I would see is this lush, thick green and I would be happy. But that isn’t happening anytime soon so here’s a look that captures that deep green I like.

Deep green smokey eyes.

Natural lips go best with dark colours elsewhere.

For Face: Dior’s Diorskin Forever Compact Foundation in 020 Light Beige, E.L.F Cosmetics’ Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder, Candy Doll’s Blush in Strawberry Pink and a light dusting of Physicians Formula’s Shimmer Strips in Malibu Strip / Pink Sand Bronzer.

For Eyes: NYX Cosmetics’ Jumbo Eye Pencil in 626 Knight; M.A.C.’s eyeshadow in Vanilla; the Balm’s Shady Lady eyeshadow in Jealous Jordana; Shu Uemura’s Pressed Eyeshadow in 471 ME Olive; Shade Mildew from Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow Ammo Shadow Box; the gold shade in Maybelline’s Hyper Diamonds Eyeshadow Palette and Girls Aloud’s Kimberley false lashes by Eylure.

For Brows: The darker shade of Paul & Joe’s Eyebrow Powder in 01.

For Lips: Hurraw’s Sun Protection Balm SPF 15 and Vapour Organic Beauty’s Siren Lipstick in 418 Possess.

I was sort of having a bad hair day when I did this look, so my fringe looks as if it’s all over the place and won’t behave. I drew in my lips to their full size and this is why it looks plumper here than normal. The lashes were really pretty and natural-looking but unfortunately they died after I took them off. Seriously, Eylure’s lashes don’t last at all!
