Sydney in a Nutshell

Sydney in a Nutshell

Australia was such a great much-needed break! We finally had some time away from everything in Singapore – the heat, humidity, people (crowds), stress, too-heavy workloads, commute time – you name it, we dropped it all and left it.

Sydney was our first stop, followed by Cairns and Darwin. The weather in Sydney called for layers and covered feet most of the time and the coffee was amazing. If you love snooping around in vintage stores, this is the city to be in!

There was quite a bit of shopping.

And quite a bit of café hopping.

And who can forget chomping! By the way, these fries were the best I’ve ever had!

We explored the streets.

And came upon the Queen Victoria Building.

The QVB is another mall, but it’s more high-end than anything.

We also visited Blue Mountains nearby, which was a train ride away. Here’s a tip: If you’re visiting Sydney for about a week, get a 1-week travel pass that allows you to take the buses, trains and ferries to all regions in the city. This pass can be used for the train to Blue Mountains, which is a must-see when you’re there!

The beautiful blue mountains.

I can’t believe our trip is over just like that. 2 weeks just flew past but yet the first day in Australia felt like it happened months ago. Very weird. I’ll write more about Sydney in the next post, and some outfit posts in the other cities we visited are coming right up too. Stay tuned, and love you all!
