Sometimes, you just feel like putting anything on as long as you at least look decent in it. That’s what happens to me on some weekends, especially when I don’t have events to attend. This past weekend was one such example, and since the weather these days have been so crazy, all I wanted to wear was a t-shirt and shorts!
I love the basic top from Kur-ve, which is a store that also stocks the currently popular “More Issues than Vogue” slogan t-shirts. Really, I think that the challenge in creating nice t-shirts with quotes is to make sure they look stylish and nowhere near tacky or cheesy. I mean, how many of you wouldn’t cringe when you see something that reads, “Best Trailer Trash” across some dude’s chest (I’m just making this up)?
I’m also head over heels in love with my new Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAC Crossbody Bag! I’d been looking high and low for a small black bag to go with my outfits for the longest time ever, and Shopbop’s crazy storewide sale immediately got me snapping my fingers and go, “Let’s go baby!” Free shipping and savings really do go together when it comes to entrapping hapless shoppers like me.
Overall, the makeup for this outfit is natural and easy on the eye. I used the new Laneige Sparkling Party palette for my eyes and lips, and the review will be up on the blog shortly.
What do you think of this outfit? Also, tell me: What is the tackiest slogan you’ve ever seen on a shirt? The one that makes me laugh the most gets a little gift from me!
