The Lush Cosmetics Christmas 2015 Collection

‘Tis the season to be merry, fa la la la la la la la la.

I got officially introduced to Lush Cosmetics a few weeks back, when I was invited to discover the brand’s holiday season launches for the year. I’m a fan of their bath bombs because not only are they moisturising in the bath – so you don’t have to apply another layer of moisturiser when you’re out of the bathroom – they are also fun. But nothing can be as cute and whimsical as the Lush Cosmetics Christmas 2015 Collection.

The Lush Cosmetics Christmas 2015 Collection

The Lush Cosmetics Bûche de Noël Face & Body Cleanser, S$25 for a 100g tub.

The Bûche de Noël Face & Body Cleanser comes in two sizes – 100g (S$25) and 250g (S$70). It is formulated with finely grounded sweet almond, kaolin and the key ingredient fresh satsuma to deliver a refreshing and moisturising shower. The best part is that you can use this all over your body as well as your face. To use it, take an appropriate amount and add some water to it to create a paste to lather. After washing it off, you’ll find that your skin has been softly pampered with Fair Trade organic cocoa butter as well.

The Lush Cosmetics Butterbear Bath Bomb, S$10 (left) and Snow Angel Bath Melt, S$21 (right).

How cute is this teeny polar bear that will melt your heart in the bath? It smells heavenly of vanilla, so if you like scents such as vanilla, cream, shea butter and Brazilian nut, chances are you’ll like this one too. The only sad thing is that this bear only goes so far as one session in the tub – I wonder if he’ll last the winter.

The Snow Angel Bath Melt is for you if you are looking for something super moisturising. If you are headed somewhere that’s freezing and windy, you’ll want to grab one of these. It contains cocoa butter for a great moisturising treat but also gives you a golden glow. I found a video from Lush Cosmetics on how it looks like when placed in the bath:

Oh, I can’t wait to get my hands on this one. It’s probably not something for the guys what with all that shimmer but girl, you need this.

The Magic of Christmas Re-Usable Bubble Bar, S$19 (left) and the Magic Wand Bubble Bar, S$20 (right).

If Mr. Teeny Polar Bear above has got you wishing you could get it a personalised snow cloud like Olaf, maybe something more lasting might make you feel a bit better. The Magic of Christmas Bubble Bar is a new Magic Wand for the season, and the best part is that it’s re-usable. You just have to hold it under the running tap of your bath tub and stop when you’ve decided you’ve got enough. Splash around for a bit to make some bubbles to have some fun while you’re at it. Make sure, though, that you keep it dry between each use.

The Lush Cosmetics Christmas 2015 Collection

The Lush Cosmetics Icing on the Cake Shower Smoothie, S$17.50 each.

Isn’t this just too pretty? The Icing on the Cake Shower Smoothie is so pink it’s enough to make the 12-year-old in me squeal with delight. I somehow also feel like it will taste like all sorts of cotton candy if this were a real swiss roll. I don’t know about you but I can’t resist this.

It’s made of creamy almond milk and chestnut puree, fresh orange, lime, lemon peel, as well as Fair Trade organic cocoa butter. Even if you don’t own a bath tub like me, you can still use this in the shower. How perfect is that?

All of Lush Cosmetics’ products are cruelty-free and some of the ones featured here are vegan. If you love your furry friends, I’m sure you’re already a fan of the brand. Because they don’t use preservatives in their products, most of their items will only last a few months at a go, so buy in bulk only if you’re gifting several people at the same time. Oh, and do check out their awesome Oxford Street range of Fresh Face Masks while you’re at it.
