Easy Peasy Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayons Tutorial

I love makeup because it’s so easy to use. Sure, there may be way too many highlighting palettes that all look identical to one another, and there may be way too many nude eyeshadow palettes (how do you pick one?) but really, it all boils down to one thing: Focus. On. The. Essentials.

If you’ve found a highlighter that works for you, getting another one isn’t necessary no matter how much everybody raves about it. And do you really need that brow shaping/measuring tool even though you can do your brows just right?

Talking about the essentials, you don’t need Instagram makeup to head outside. Here’s a quick tutorial I made, showing you how you can dress your face up using just eyeliners for your eyes. I’ve found some really good eyeliners – the Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayons, featuring the all-new matte ones as well. Although they don’t last through sweat after an afternoon out in the crazy Singapore sun, they are quite the decent beauty products to have in your stash.

Eyeliner: MARC JACOBS HIGHLINER GEL EYE CRAYON & MATTE GEL EYE CRAYON

Mascara: L’OREAL FALSE LASH MISS MANGA MASCARA

Lipstick: CLINIQUE POP LIP COLOUR

Lip gloss: KIKO MILANO 3D HYDRA LIP GLOSS

To give you a quick idea of these Marc Jacobs eyeliners, I find them very pigmented and they glide on extremely smoothly onto your lids – so no tugging needed, yay! They last for hours (if you’re not doing any extreme activities) and are smudge-free. The product also stores a happy surprise – the opposite end of each eyeliner is a sharpener. This means if you’re travelling, you’re pretty much good to go without adding more bulk.

I hope this tutorial gives you the motivation and encouragement to give simple makeup a go. Even if you just apply brown eyeliner and nothing else, it’s going to make a difference in your life.

I’m actually thinking if I should make videos on my life in general. Would you be interested in videos that teach you how to make your mornings better, how to declutter your life or how to find your classic style? Or would you prefer something more personal, like taking a look at my very own closet or what I do to build my business? Let me know in the comments!

Love,

Roxanne
