Valentine’s Day Gift Guide for the Clueless Boyfriend/Husband

by Roxanne C.

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and if you’re one of those loving boyfriends, I’m sure you’re wrecking your brains out trying to find something for your special someone. A male reader recently requested for gift guides for you guys so today I’m featuring some of my picks from the Shopbop sales rack.

Shopbop is an online store that sells items from high end brands like Kate Spade, alice + olivia, Theory, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Prada and so on (you can see the entire list of designers here). I’ve personally bought stuff from them and received my items in pristine condition, packed in boxes with special care taken to ensure that my products don’t get damaged in the middle of shipping. They offer free express international shipping for purchases over $100 – a target that’s easy to hit when you shop there.

For today’s Valentine’s Day Gift Guide, I’ve picked out items that are priced below S$400 so that you don’t have to pay taxes or GST when the items are shipped into Singapore. Because their shipping service is so fast, items generally arrive within the week. That means if you buy something now, you’ll be all prepared for Valentine’s Day when it comes. Now isn’t that a big relief!

For Valentine’s Day, it would be a good idea to stay away from rings (for obvious reasons) or accessories like shades, as shades are a highly personal thing and different people have different sizes and face shapes. The only time anyone should ever buy shades is after trying them out in the store.

For girls who love books, a coffee table book or something fun might work. Multi-purpose cards are also a great way for your partner to express her feelings towards others, if that’s the kind of thing that she loves doing. A scarf as a present is a way to say, “Let’s head to New Zealand in June,” while appetiser plates, when given with a new recipe book, can suggest romantic times in the kitchen together. And to top it all off, which girl can resist something cute from Kate Spade?

You can do it,
