pimples

I came across this pimple gel at a local pharmacy one day at the mall while waiting to get seats at a restaurant. I’ve heard of Clinelle before but had never used their products until now. I’d run out of my previous zit solution, clindamycin (a dermatologist-prescribed antibiotics), and thought of trying something new and cheaper. The Clinelle Blemish Clear did not disappoint.

    Clinelle's Blemish Clear.

The Clinelle Blemish Clear is a pimple gel that aims to target acne and reduce the redness that comes with it. It refines skin, controls excess sebum production and promotes cell renewal. Each squeeze tube is 15ml and costs less than S$20. From what I know, the current product is of a newer formula. It is an opaque white gel in contrast to the previous colourless one.

This product does not have a strong scent and is very efficient! I use it twice daily – once in the morning before my moisturiser and once at night before bed. It really does reduce redness effectively overnight and does not affect how my makeup goes on after it. It does not sensitise my skin, like how some anti-acne products do, and tackles only my spots. I’m not sure if this will work for large acne, such as cystic acne (in which case it’s really much better to consult a dermatologist to get something more potent) but it works well for the occasional zit, shrinking and then finally getting rid of it. When applied on red spots that have yet to become full-blown, it prevents them from sprouting out while working its magic and healing them.

Overall, this is a good pimple gel to use. It’s effective against the normal-sized zit and is affordable. I would recommend it.
