The Body Shop

As mentioned in my blogger page, I went to Overeasy last night with some friends. Without a camera, I didn’t manage to take any pictures of the night so everything I have came from my phone. I only managed to take pictures of my FOTD using my sister’s camera after I got home. I wish at least someone had brought a camera so I can show you all my outfit of the day too! Well here goes:

Gold heart earrings from Forever 21

For face: Shu Uemura’s foundation in GE 764 SPF 26 and Estee Lauder’s Signature Silky Powder Blush in 02 Pink Kiss.

For eyes: MAC Cosmetic’s eyeshadow in Vanilla (highlight), Honeycomb and Miel from The Body Shop’s Shimmer Cubes Palette 06 and Shu Uemura’s Farfallina lashes! I love these lashes!

For brows: Bobbi Brown’s eyeshadow in Chocolate Mauve. This was the first time in tens of years that I actually drew in my brows. Usually I just can’t be bothered, but I realised how a simple drawing in of brows actually help to balance and shape one’s face.

For lips: Nivea lip balm and MAC Cosmetic’s lipstick in Diva (Matte).

The lashes were paired with subtle eye colour so that they stood out. They were also to balance the dark lip colour. I’m glad I did my brows too! Dark lips can be tricky to work with because they age a person and can make one look stern. To wear it well, smile more often!

I feel that this is one look us Asians can carry off very well. Us black-haired, black-eyed Asians. Because black, red and our fair, yellow undertoned skin go so well together. Plus, when we add gold to it, the combination just becomes da bomb! This is partly why I’m proud to be Asian. I mean, sure, blondes do have their thing what with their blue eyes and all. Then again, so do Asians and we should be proud of what we have that non-Asians can’t have.

Do let me know what you think of this look. I love it!
