Everyday Makeup Essentials Checklist

It’s every girl’s dream to have a makeup collection as extensive as Christina Aguilera’s shoe closet. But if you’re just beginning your foray into this beautiful world of makeup, where do you start?

Today, I’m sharing with you my Everyday Makeup Essentials Checklist – a checklist of the items every girl should own in order to look, at the very least, put-together. You don’t need everything on the list because what you’ll need really depends on what you would like to focus on, be it your brows or complexion. Go ahead, print this checklist out (click on it for a larger image) and tick along as I walk with you why each item is important.

    Everyday Makeup Essentials Checklist

    1. Compact Foundation

Foundation is a must for anyone dabbling in makeup. If there’s only one thing you can have, it should always be foundation, especially for the humid summer months, and especially if you have oily skin.

    2. Liquid Foundation

Liquid foundation should be used only if you do not use compact foundation (thus, you can cancel this if you’re picking the first option). This product is for dry-normal skin and generally has better coverage. It can be applied either with a brush or your fingers.

    3. Concealor

This is a required item only if you have severe blemishes or serious under eye circles that need to be covered up. Otherwise, it’s always fine to skip it.

    4. Blush

How can anyone do with foundation and no cheek colour? The answer is you can’t and shouldn’t. Blush adds a healthy glow to your skin so that you look alive. Never ever skip this – but also don’t overdo it.

    5. Loose Powder

Loose powder is used to set your foundation. This means that by applying it on top of your foundation, your foundation (and concealor) lasts for a longer period with less tendency to streak or crease.
