Say hello to the newest addition to my collection of fragrances: Un Matin d’Orage by Annick Goutal. I got the large sized bottle of this from Escentials Paragon Singapore after taking a whiff of countless other perfumes. Originally I’d wanted to get something from Penhaligon’s or Diptyque but sad to say, I found nothing to my liking from them. I tried out some from Comme des Garcons and Van Cleef and Arpels too but Annick Goutal’s fragrances topped them all. There were a few which I really liked but I finally decided upon this one because it smells really lovely and the scent’s description is so pretty too!

As quoted from the packaging, “The essence of the gardenia flower after a morning storm, when it releases its most beautiful notes. A sensual floral freshness combined with the luminous and captivating scent of jasmine.” The bottle itself is also a pretty opalescent milky white and will look so cute with the rest of my fragrances, namely my Chanel Coco Mademoiselle and Lancome’s Miracle. Very French, I like.
