I had seen these babies at Carrefour in France last year and I am actually quite surprised that they haven’t been launched in Singapore yet. I simply adore these lipsticks from Maybelline. Not only are they wallet-friendly, they are also creamy and easy to apply. The lipsticks are very pigmented and the colour payoff is great. As for the smell, there is definitely some added fragrance. I don’t really know how to describe this smell but the closest I can think of is lipstick + chocolate + cardboard boxes combined. I know it sounds weird but this is something that you have to check out for yourself. Out of the four shades I have, Tinted Taupe is the creamiest and least pigmented because when I go over the initial layer a second time, it kind of wipes off the first layer.

The cool thing about the range is that there are 20 shades to pick from and they are categorised into four different colour ranges: Ravishing Reds & Corals, Polished Pinks, Provocative Plums and Sensual Nudes. As you can see in the pictures at the start of this entry, I have one from each colour range. The colours under Ravishing Reds & Corals are: Peachy Scene, Summer Sunset, Are You Red-dy, Very Cherry and Red Revival; The colours under Polished Pinks are: Born with It, Pink Peony, Hooked on Pink, Pink Wink and Party Pink; The colours under Provocative Plums are: Yummy Plummy, Plum-tastic, Plum Paradise, Plum Perfect and Mauve Me; and finally, the colours under Sensual Nudes are: Trendy Toffee, Warm Me Up, Crazy for Coffee, Cinnamon Stick and Tinted Taupe.

These lipsticks are definitely something worth checking out when they launch in December 2011 at Watsons, Guardian, SASA, major supermarkets and hypermarkets and selected departmental stores. They will each retail at SGD$17.90.
