Ever wondered how to get those perfectly nude or pink lips? The real secret behind that isn’t lip balm or a very highly pigmented lipstick or gloss. It’s lip concealor.
Not many people know about lip concealors and it was only a few weeks ago that I came to know about them and how they really work. This makeup item is actually a must-have in many of those who have two-toned lips where the upper lip is darker than the lower one. Or in some cases, there are girls whose lips are red in areas which are peeling or dry. Sometimes, because the lips are uneven in colour, putting on a lipstick will not have the same effect throughout. That’s where lip concealors come in. These things help to even out the shade of your lips just like how concealors for the face work. They give a nude base and cover up any flaws that might still be seen even under lipstick. Some come with SPF and/or moisturising benefits as well, so you can kill many birds with one stone, so to speak.
Be warned about using lip concealors on their own, though. They may result in a nude look but if you’re not careful, you could go around like a zombie due to the lack of colour. Thus, when using them, I recommend at least putting on a nude lip colour of some sort.
