FOTD: Sexy, Smokey Barbie

by Roxanne C.

Doing this look took me quite some time, even though it was still faster than I’d expected. For this smokey Barbie look, I did everything under the sun – smokey eye colours, heavy false lashes, shimmer blush, contour (even for the nose), lip colour and filling in of my brows. The number of products I used here is phenomenal.

For Face: Dior’s Diorskin Forever Compact Foundation in 020 Light Beige and E.L.F Cosmetics’ Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder.

For Eyes: NYX Cosmetics’ Jumbo Eye Pencil in 626 Knight; Shades 6, 7 and 10 of NYX Cosmetics’ 10-Color Eyeshadow Palette in Smokey Eyes; Shades Last Call and Polyester Bride of Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow Ammo Shadow Box; NYX Cosmetics’ Eye / Eyebrow Pencil in 906 White; Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in 1999 and Paris Hilton’s Hollywood Glamour lashes by Elegant Touch.

For Brows: The darker shade of Paul & Joe’s Eyebrow Powder in 01.

For Lips: Hurraw’s Sun Protection Balm SPF 15 and Vapour Organic Beauty’s Siren Lipstick in 418 Possess.

I had a fun time doing this! Actually, I was going for a hot pink smokey eye look because I’ve always wanted to do something like that. Last Call (from the Urban Decay palette) turned out to be more purple than pink, so I guess pink eye makeup will have to wait till I find the perfect shade. I’m really happy with the way this turned out. What do you think? Do you like it?
