Swatch: The Nicole by OPI Look at Me, Look at Me Lacquer

Prancing unicorns above soft, pouffy tufts of cloud! This Nicole by OPI Look at Me, Look at Me lacquer was a little thoughtful gift from my BFF Corinne when I invited her to come visit me at my staycation earlier this year. Do you ever get tired of your nail polish shades? Well, I did. So I decided to finally give this one a go. In the bottle, it looks like a silvery, metallic shade with tiny bits of pink glitter that you aren’t even sure would show up when applied. You could say this is one of those beauty products that make you kind of regret not trying out soon enough!

I did a manicure with the shade The World is Not Enough, also from OPI.

Swatch time! This was taken under indoor lighting.

A swatch of the polish seen under natural light. The understated sparkles really bring my nails to life!

This polish is very pigmented and has a rough finish, like the ones in their Liquid Sand range. I still recommend adding a layer of top coat to keep the polish on for longer and for higher shine. Up close, the polish not only has red/pink glitter, it also has blue-green ones, which overall give it a I’m-fabulous-but-shy character. I did a little snooping around online and found this (picture courtesy of Wacky Laki):

The Nicole by OPI Look at Me, Look at Me vs the Dr’s Remedy Serene Silver Glitter.

What a dupe! The Dr’s Remedy one (launched in 2011) is much more expensive, but honestly, I’ve never heard of this brand until now. And to end off this blog post with another trivia, did you know that OPI stands for Odontorium Products, Inc? Well, now you do!
