Bio-essence

The Bio-essence Face Lifting Cream has been around for quite some time and I’ve tried it a few times myself, especially after hearing how other people have used it and seen results. If a product is able to achieve success from  unintentional word-of-mouth marketing from consumers, it must really be good, right? Maybe. Both my mum and sister currently use it and they’ve been re-stocking up on it each time their pots run dry.

    A close-up of the cream.

The cream itself has a light scent and is of a thick consistency. It’s pretty much opaque in the pot, as you can see in the picture above. When applied onto the skin, it leaves behind a slightly sticky feel, like how a lot of Asian skincare products do. I don’t recall the price but it’s easily accessible in the local grocery stores and pharmacies in Singapore, and is one of the higher end products you can find there (though still nothing compared to luxury brands like Elizabeth Arden or Shiseido).

I won’t beat around the bush. This product works. One of its claims is that it helps to lift your face and slim down the jawline. The product even comes packaged with a measuring tape for you to check out the difference yourself, before and after using it for some time. How it does this so effectively, I don’t know but I do know that my face definitely gets sharper.

However, it breaks me out big time! This cream gives me several huge acne volcanoes (yes, complete with the stuff inside) that take quite long to heal. And because of this, I have stopped using it and will no longer go anywhere near it. You might like to know it doesn’t contain alcohol, which is a plus point. Maybe this works for most people and if it does for you, then you’ve got it good.

    TODAY’S RANDOM

The Great Gatsby via Eyes Like the Night.

An old time classic but I’ve still yet to read it! Perhaps it’s time to get that Kindle or iPad. But actually, I just really want a Macbook Air, seeing that the new version just came out and it’s cheaper than the previous version. Good thing I waited for the WWDC! Also, do you think it’s better to read this first or to watch Leonardo Dicaprio on screen first without any preconceived perception of his character?
