I love makeup because it’s so easy to use. Sure, there may be way too many highlighting palettes that all look identical to one another, and there may be way too many nude eyeshadow palettes (how do you pick one?) but really, it all boils down to one thing: Focus. On. The. Essentials.
If you’ve found a highlighter that works for you, getting another one isn’t necessary no matter how much everybody raves about it. And do you really need that brow shaping/measuring tool even though you can do your brows just right?

I’ve found some really good eyeliners – the Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayons, featuring the all-new matte ones as well. Although they don’t last through sweat after an afternoon out in the crazy Singapore sun, they are quite the decent beauty products to have in your stash.
