OOTD: At the Derby

OOTD: At the Derby

Who goes to the Derby? Me! Who goes and bets on horses at the Derby? Me! Who loses? Me. But, who also has a pom-pomique fascinator? Me!

This year, I wore a 3-year-old white eyelet dress, one that I still normally wear to work.  I decided on the demure look this day, and complemented it with neutral shades, so as not to draw attention away from the fascinator.

Seriously, white goes with everything, especially when your hair colour isn’t blonde. I love playing with colours and I think that everyone should embrace the colours they’re born with, and make the most out of them! I’ve been toying with the idea of dyeing my hair but a part of me is vehemently resisting, mostly because my hair is virgin hair (apart from undergoing rebonding many years ago).

Wearing white lace or crochet can be tricky. You don’t want to look like a bride but yet you want to stay classy. Here are some dresses I’ve picked for you (and an affordable knock-off of the Valentino Rock Stud Pumps):

At the Derby, I caught sight of Debbie, a lady in bright yellow in the crowd, and had to take a picture of her. Everything about her makes me happy!

That head gear, that dress and that confidence! No doubt she walked away with Best Dressed Guest as her title!

I had fun that day, though I’ve decided that betting on horses isn’t really my thing. I’m better off staying at the jackpot machines. You know, just for kicks.

What do you think of our outfits? Do you also have virgin hair?
